Germany tourist visa/visitor visa:
The visa is also known as Schengen visa, and allows the holder to visit Germany and all other countries in the Schengen area (27 Schengen countries) for the duration it is issued (max.90 days).
Under this category you can plan for visit Germany for shorter period of time, for either visiting family or friends or sightseeing.
The Schengen visa for tourism for tourism purposes or visiting family / friends or sightseeing limits you to only travelling and sightseeing throughout the Schengen visa.
Note: under the category of tourist visa, you are not allowed to work or study, thus you must apply for study visa or work visa (under National Visa Category) or other visa type according to your purpose of entry if you wish to enter Germany for other than tourism.
